The international competition for yacht designers, is in its 9th year. The event, promoted and organized by carrarafiere at Seatec, the 10th  international exhibition of technologies, subcontracting and design for boats, megayachts and ships, has become a prominent event attended by the most important design and engineering firms.

M.Y.D.A. award 2012 is addressed to new projects and divided into two categories:

•  “Established professionals”  professional designers or designers that have already built at least one boat.
• “Young professionals”  young professionals that have not yet built any boat.

Both categories can enter both sections: 

•  A. “New Projects" : design as a substantial contribution to the development and innovation of the concept of the pleasure boat. Projects substantially completed, not yet built
•  B “Dream Boats" One-off projects, outside the realms of what is currently accepted - complete freedom of expression - a personal conceptual and formal invention. Not an impossible dream, rather a daring vision for the future.
